What are your qualifications as a freelance writer?
I have worked in sales and marketing for over ten years and I have a strong IT background that has given me the ability to communicate technical details in a way that a layperson can understand. I have worked closely with web developers, network technicians, system administrators, programmers and countless other IT professionals to generate documentation for their products as well as marketing materials to promote them.
I have experience writing for large companies like Coca-Cola and Popeye’s Chicken as well as smaller family owned businesses. A few of the fields that I have written for include: legal, private investigation, healthcare marketing, optometry, ophthalmology, medical, restaurants, career coaching, web design, computer service and repair, software design, landscaping, fencing, automotive sales and service, political speech writing, international translation services, real estate, insurance, childcare, boating and retail sports shops.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. We guarantee to meet all deadlines or your money back. We want all of our clients to be happy with the copy we produce. We work hard to craft it to the client’s specifications and provide free revisions to smooth out any rough edges. We cannot however guarantee results because it would be unethical. If, for example, We told you that a specific piece of marketing material would generate a 7% conversion rate then we would be lying. There are too many variables involved to ever say that with certainty.
What is your policy on revisions?
Revisions are free of charge and they are included in every quote that we give. We love it when we write something for a client and they accept it with no changes but we don’t expect it. There are always a few little changes that need to be made so the copy is a perfect fit. Do be considered a revision it must meet the follow criteria:
- We need to be notified within 30 days of receiving the finished copy.
- You will have to tell us specifically what needs to be changed or improved.
- The revision cannot constitute a major change from the original assignment. For example, if we are contracted to write a press release about Product A, you cannot ask that it be rewritten to include Product B and call it a revision.
Are you experienced with writing about _________?
This is a common question but the answer really doesn’t matter. Many times we will have had experience in a specific field or with a specific product but even when we haven’t; it is usually marketed the same way. If we are going to write a white paper that produces results then it will follow similar rules whether it’s about a computer or car. Any specific details that are needed for the copy can be gleaned from the background material provided by the client or research on our part.
What do your clients have to say about your work?
Our clients have only had good things to say and we have yet to receive a complaint. We strive to give clients our best work on every job because it benefits everyone if they do well. Click here if you would like to read a few comments from past clients.
How long does it take to complete a project?
We work quickly but it all depends on how many assignments are in the works and what kind of deadline that you have in mind. If we accept an assignment, we guarantee that we will never miss a deadline. If we think that we cannot get the work done to your satisfaction in the given time frame then we will not accept the assignment.
How do you handle pricing?
Price is always a confusing subject for potential clients because it seems to vary widely between copywriters. To make matters worse, we generally do not put prices on our websites because differences in the details, size and deadline for an assignment will change the price.
To make things simple, we will break copywriters down into three basic categories and use a standard 500 word article to illustrate the differences in pricing. The groups are:
- Copy Mill and Oversea Writers – These writers generally charge 5-10 dollars per article. They make money by writing as many of these articles as they possible can in the shortest amount of time. The copy is of low quality and should only be used as filler.
- Business Writers – These writers will typically charge 50-100 dollars per article depending on research time. Work can vary between writers but you generally get good quality copy that can be used in marketing materials, promotions and B2B correspondence.
- Alpha Writers - These writers are at the top of their game and charge staggering prices commensurate with their experience. For a standard article you could easily see prices from 200-500 dollars but the copy is very high quality.
So, you have to ask yourself which type of writer best suits your budget and the task at hand. If you decide that you need a Business Writer then we need to talk. Call us at 706-299-1920 or send an email to info@abusinesswriter.com.
